Recently, I realized that I don’t really talk about skincare products on here, not as much as I should! I am always testing out something new! Therefore, I am going to start focusing more on skincare in some of my posts. Since I have worked in the skincare world for four years, I’m not sure why I haven’t been sharing my skincare favorites as much as I have with make up. All in all, I wanted to share with you, My April Beauty Favorites! Products that I have been enjoying this month!

Clarins – Body Fit Lotion

Every product that I have tried from Clarins has been amazing, and this one is just that! It penetrates quickly, gives the skin a “cooling” sensation, is non greasy and leaves my skin feeling smooth throughout the day. I’ve noticed that it has really firmed and smoothed my skin. I have been using this product for almost 3 weeks. *

Smashbox – Cover Shot Eye Palette in MATTE

Smashbox came out with 6 different mini palettes. I have been loving “Matte”. The color selection is really nice, I can create many versatile looks with one palette. The pigmentation is unreal (especially for being so small!) and the shadows blend so easily. I have to say, these are the perfect “on the go” palettes! *

Tarte – Color Splash Lip in COLADA

If you haven’t had a chance to try out these lipsticks, please go to your nearest Sephora ASAP! This has quickly become my favorite lip range. There’s a shade for everyone. Colada is a perfect peachy/brown/nude shade. The formula is hydrating and applies so smoothly. Already placed an order for more shades!

Kopari Beauty – Coconut Melt

This product intrigued me, so I did my research. This brand works with small family owned farms in the Philippines (FAIR TRADE!) to bring the purest form of unrefined coconut oil to the market. I have used basic coconut oil in the past (365 Whole Foods Brand) and I was able to compare it to this… I have to say.. there is definitely a reason as to why Sephora agreed to carry this product.. (If you didn’t know, sephora is pretty particular about what brands they will carry, niche markets…etc.)

Overall, the quality of the coconut oil in this product IS the reason WHY it’s so great. I could tell a huge difference by comparing the two oils side by side, and within my skin. I recommend this product 100% over ANY basic coconut oil.

Yves Saint Laurent – Touche Éclat Glow Shot in 01 Daylight

Let me start off by saying that I have been using this highlight every day! This gives a very subtle yet beautiful, understated glow to the skin. You can easily control it by layering it under foundation, or overtop. It’s the type of highlight that you could wear every day, even with a no make up, make up look. *

Beauty RX – Triple Vitamin C Serum

This serum is the exact opposite of what I’m used to when it comes to a Vitamin C Serum. It’s NOT sticky, and it’s not smelly! Love that it absorbs so easily, and works well with my moisturizers. The packaging is a nice bonus, user friendly, and bottle is dark to preserve the vitamin c from sun exposure. I’ve been using this for a few months now.. My skin feels smooth and bright!

Maybelline Cosmetics – Color Sensational Shaping Liner in 105 Nude Whisper

I was quite surprised by the consistency of this product. It applies super smoothly…and it doesn’t dry out! (Since it’s drugstore, I was comparing it to NYX, Essence, Palladio). The color is very nice, a little bit lighter than my natural lip color, which helps me overline my top lip. I recommend giving this a try!

MAC Cosmetics – Lip in Japanese Maple

I was on the hunt for a perfect dupe of the Charlotte Tilbury “Kim K.W.”Kissing Lipstick.. and THIS IS IT! AND IT’S HALF THE PRICE!!! Seriously, so glad I found it!

Marc Jacobs Beauty – Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara

I’m very picky with mascaras…I forgot about how good this product was! I tried it for the first time last year, I decided to repurchase it recently. It gives effortless volume, length and thickness to the lashes. It does not flake, or smudge! So good!

Neostrata – Foaming Glycolic Wash

This Foaming Wash contains 18% Glycolic Acid. I have to say, that is what drew me. Plus, I have been watching Brianna Stenko on Youtube recently, where she shares some products from Neostrata. So since this has Glycolic acid, this product helps boost cell turnover in the skin, which in turn, helps fade breakouts, acne scars, fine lines/wrinkles quicker! It also will help anything you put on after it, such as a serum, work better, because it will penetrate deeper into the skin. Basically, it’s going to help you see results quicker, while boosting your other skincare products… it’s a win win. I like that it’s a foam cleanser, typically tells me that it is going to last longer, and absolutely love that it is soap free! My skin doesn’t feel tight and uncomfortable after cleansing. I have to say that I have really enjoyed using this product, and will continue to use it in the future! I do use spf 50 during the day! Which I recommend!

THIS IS: Soap, Fragrance and Dye free!

NOTE: If you are new to glycolic acid, I suggest trying something with a smaller amount of this ingredient. Please email/DM me on Instagram if you would like help finding the perfect glycolic cleanser for you!

So that wraps up my beauty favorites for this month. I hope you enjoyed reading about my faves, what have you been loving?! Let me know! I am always on the lookout for more newness in my life!

xo, lola.
